Preguntas Frecuentes
Do you offer installation services, or do you only supply the doors?
Perciber does not offer installation services; we are manufacturers, and our doors are sold exclusively through authorized distributors. Some of these distributors do offer installation services for end customers. If you are looking for a distributor in your area, please send us a request via our contact form.
What are the advantages of a lightweight semi-solid door compared to a conventional solid-core door?
There are several advantages that a Perciber lightweight semi-solid door offers compared to a conventional solid-core door:
-
Long-term stability: Being lighter, the hardware (hinges and fittings) operates under better conditions and undergoes less stress. Consequently, these doors do not warp or sag as easily as heavier doors might over time.
-
Acoustic insulation: The core of our lightweight semi-solid door consists of two EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) sheets. This material provides superior sound absorption due to its ability to dampen acoustic vibrations.
-
Thermal insulation: The EPS core is a material with excellent thermal transmittance properties; in fact, it has been widely used as an insulator in both industrial and domestic applications.
-
Functionality: Because it is lighter than a conventional solid door, our lightweight semi-solid door opens and closes much more smoothly and effortlessly.
What is the difference between a reinforced door (blindada) and a security door (acorazada)?
Although both are doors that incorporate additional security compared to a conventional interior door, the differences between our reinforced doors and our IRON armored doors are very important:
The most important features of reinforced doors are:
- Steel sheet in the core of the leaf and its special hinges.
- Jambs with metal plates that improve the security of the set.
-
A reinforced door is very similar in appearance to a conventional interior door, to the point that when closed it is very difficult to distinguish.
Our IRON Armored door has a much higher security level than one of our reinforced doors.
- According to the standard, ours are class 3 armored doors
- Reinforced armored core
- 3D adjustable anti-pry hinges
- Multipoint lock with security bolts
- Adjustable anti-card latch
- Additional cylinder protection
- Steel fairing
- High customization capacity…

What material are the interior doors made of?
Contrary to what one might think, ours are much more than a simple wooden door. In the leaf alone, at least 5 different materials coexist. Each of these materials fulfills a specialized function in order to improve the characteristics of the set:
Double EPS core. Chamfered PVC edges finished in lacquer for lacquered models or in the main tone for laminate finishes.
- Perimeter ring made of water-resistant MDF.
- Central beam in particle board.
- Exterior panels in high-density MDF.
- Exterior finish in high-coverage lacquer or laminate.
- Double EPS core.
- Chamfered PVC edges finished in lacquer for lacquered models or in the main tone for laminate finishes.
Do you sell to end users?
No, we do not sell directly to private customers. If you are a private customer and want to purchase our doors, you must contact one of our authorized distributors. If you want to know which is our distributor in your area, you can write to us through the form on the Contact page.
If I purchase my door through a distributor, could I install it myself?
Yes, it is possible, although it would not be advisable if you do not have experience.
To install a door, in addition to the fact that certain specific tools may be necessary, adjustments, leveling, and plumbing must be performed correctly so that the functionality of the door is not affected; therefore, we never advise an inexperienced user to install their own door.
Some of our distributors sell our doors as a “door block” (pre-hung). A block is a door kit that comes pre-assembled, with the hardware installed and the leaf mounted on the jambs. Normally, in a block, the moldings must be purchased separately in the size and format most convenient for the type of installation and measurements.
